How do you verify customer age?
We use a multi-step verification process: (1) Online identity verification during account creation using government-issued ID, (2) In-person ID check at delivery with ID scanning technology. Both steps must be completed before any order is fulfilled.
Are all dispensaries on Roots licensed?
Yes, we only partner with dispensaries that hold valid state and local cannabis licenses. We verify licenses regularly and immediately remove any partner whose license lapses or is revoked.
How do you ensure product safety?
All products must have valid third-party lab testing (Certificate of Analysis) before being sold on our platform. We verify testing results and make COAs available to customers for most products.
What happens if I refuse to show ID at delivery?
ID verification is a legal requirement. If you cannot or will not provide valid ID matching your order, the delivery cannot be completed. The order will be returned to the dispensary and you may be charged a restocking fee.
Do you report transactions to the government?
We participate in California's METRC track and trace system as required by law. This system tracks cannabis products from cultivation to sale to ensure compliance and prevent diversion.
